From an early age, Perry Bevin was shaped by the beauty, power and rich ecosystems of the Atlantic Ocean, on Canada's East Coast. These ocean insights later served to fuel his professional career direction as he channeled his energy to facilitate innovative and progressive biotechnology solutions. Originally from Nova Scotia, Perry secured a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, Halifax, and is also a Chartered Professional Accountant.
His professional experience over three decades stretch across senior roles encompassing Global Strategic Planning, Operations, Information Technology, Quality, and Chief Financial roles, driving rapid and sustainable growth for large-scale Biotechnology organizations.
As the Senior Vice President of Acadian Seaplants he played a central role in steering its expansion to becoming recognized globally as a sustainable, high-quality, research-based enterprise. Today, Acadian Seaplants is recognized as the world leader in using seaweed to produce Bio stimulant compounds while following sustainable ocean harvesting practices. Acadian products are used in fertilizers, animal feeds, nutraceuticals and food products for human consumption.
Moreover, Perry’s passion for innovation, business scaling and love of engaging with multiple cultures around the world positions him to strengthen the Urchinomics teams mission to protect and restore the coastal ecosystems around the world.
